When most people hear the word Poltergeist they immediately think of the movie and jump to the conclusion that this type is "out to get you." This is not true. In most cases of a Poltergeist Haunting the entity is mildly mischevious, such as knocking over a lamp or moving something from one spot to another. Like an Intelligent Haunting it acknowledges you are there and can react to things you do or say. Poltergeist haunts usually occur around a female or male adolescent.
SIGNS OF A POLTERGIEST HAUNTING
1. Objects seem to move under their own will or power.
2. Your child starts to act in "weird" or out of the ordinary.
3. It will seem like it is intentionally distracting you from what you are doing. Such as if you are reading, writing or doing something important in will make noises.
4. The activity will escalate as time passes. One day it might move an object such as a glass and the next day it might actually break the glass it moved the day before.
5. The activity is centered around one individual usually an adolescent.
